Think of life as walking through a supermarket, your conscience as a shopping cart, the world as a supermarket, and the checkout as God's judgment. My sins are stolen goods piled in a cart that cannot be put back on the shelves.
I'm wandering around the shop and it's clear to me that I'll never get past the cash register - I have nothing to pay with and the moment I reach the cash register I'll inevitably end up in jail.
I meet a colleague with a similarly overloaded trolley. Unlike me, he is smiling and heading for the checkout. Surprised, I ask him what happened: He informs me that there is a manager in the shop, the son of the owner, who is willing to pay people for their „purchases“. I believe my colleague and seek out the manager. He takes me by the hand, leads me to the cash register: Dad, this is Vit, he's my friend. He pulls out his card and pays for my „purchase“.
